WE’RE LIVE BABYYYYYYY!

WE’RE LIVE BABYYYYYYY!
You guys may have seen some little hints about our Glow and Gifts Rebrand… and, well, it’s MUCH more than a rebrand - it’s a complete relaunch and rebirth of my business.

Strap yourselves in team, there’s a lot to catch you up on!

Gift Boxes Australia

Let’s start with the WHY…

At the start of this year I was lost and not feeling motivated at all. I didn't know where my business was going and what my next step was. But I knew I loved what I did and that I wanted to rock the industry. I was on my way there, but I knew I needed a rebrand to really stand out and shake things up.
I spent some time really thinking about where I wanted to take Glow and Gifts. I wanted our gift boxes to be bright, fun and practical. To make an impact and start a conversation.

If you’ve read my [about us] page, you’ll know that my aim is to disrupt the world of gift boxes. Shake things up and truly create gifts that tell a story, gifts that are meaningful for both the gifter and the recipient.

To be honest, typically gifting businesses offer hyper feminine pamper packs preaching self-care and full of “stocking fillers” in pastel colours… or foodie hampers with products that go straight in the pantry. I’m pretty certain we all have a shelf in our pantry that can only be referred to as the Food Hamper Graveyard.
Oh, and let’s not forget corporate gifting! I am quite confident that each time you do a “Good Sammies Run” to donate clothes & household items, there’s always a few pieces of branded merch from your most recent “Gift Hamper” from work. No bueno.

Now for the HOW…

First up, I knew I needed fresh photography. My go-to gal in Sydney is Nikki from Heist Creative - she's amazing and so fun to work with. We shot all the gift boxes + freshened up on snaps of me.

Next realisation - a new website was definitely needed, and a new website meant new website copy. Enter Jaye from Luxe Copy, she did such an incredible write up for my site that I actually cried when I read it. She said everything I wanted to say, but didn't know how to.

For the website itself I wasn't sure where to start! So when you don't know where to go, look within your circle! Jess from Digibrand, does fantastic sites for her clients and sends our gift boxes as a thank you at the end of her projects. Jess usually works with WordPress sites, and I'm on Shopify but she was so accommodating and has been phenomenal during this process. We started the convo back in May and it has been nothing short of a mammoth effort from her to get this done.

What started as a new website soon became a rebrand. A new website deserves fresh new branding - right? When Jess sent through the samples I couldn’t believe it. She nailed the brief that didn't even exist. I love absolutely everything she created - the colours, the typography, the design.

I’m so proud of the Glow and Gifts website that I want to buy from myself just so I can play around on the website hahaha!

With photos, copy, a new website and a rebrand, I needed someone to help me share it. This is where Amy from MyAid Consulting comes in. My newest right hand gal, who takes care of email + blog content & writing. Who uses her wizard skills to turn my rambling dot-points into a finesse of content you actually want to read!

With *all-new-everything* underway, the final piece of the puzzle was fresh packaging. I got in touch with my printer, Christian from Cloud Print Group, to get our branded elements updated and once they arrived we were ready to go.
For those that follow along on IG (if you don't, you can find us @glowandgifts) you'll know in a past life I was a professional post & ghoster, but I’m back on the 'gram with a new, fresh and inspired energy. And along with Brooke Vulinovich's Social Club planner, my IG game is strong (again, finally).
I also need to shout out Michelle from Evergreen Studio Florals, for being my biz bestie and always supporting me. For being the brain to my storm, and for being the babe of a model that features on my website!

And finally, the LESSON…

The most important lesson from all of this? You can't do it all on your own (I certainly couldn't and quite frankly, I didn't want to). Build a team that has your back, every time. A team that has strengths where you have weaknesses. A team that wants you to win as much as you want to win. As ex basketball player Phil Jackson once said,
“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.”

I am so incredibly grateful. For my gorgeous & loyal customers, for my talented team and for all the wonderful people who have supported me on my business journey.

I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come and am so excited to have you along for the ride!

Love,
B x
